App license and service

The iOS app is licensed under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These service terms describe the My Location account, synchronization, recording and sharing features. Our Privacy Policy explains their data use. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

You may use the available local features without a My Location account. Account features require sign-in and a working connection. Keep your account secure and only upload content you are authorized to use. You retain ownership of your saved content and give us permission to process and display it only as needed to provide the features you request.

Do not use the service to track someone without consent, harass another person, share unlawful content, bypass access controls or interfere with the service. You control the friends and links with whom you share. Public links can be forwarded; avoid sharing sensitive home/work locations or private notes unintentionally. You can stop live sharing and delete shared map links in the app.

My Location Pro subscriptions

My Location Pro is offered through Apple's in-app purchase system as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription. The purchase screen and Apple's confirmation show the actual price, currency, duration and any introductory offer available to your Apple Account. Prices and offers may vary by region. Do not rely on a fixed price from an older screenshot.

Pro currently includes additional collection capacity, saved-place import/export, GPX track import and extended live-sharing options shown in the app. Signed-out anonymous live sharing remains limited to four hours by the service; sharing up to 24 hours requires a signed-in account. The app identifies features that require Pro before purchase.

Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase, or when an eligible free trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period. Trial eligibility and any unused trial treatment are determined by Apple and the offer shown at purchase. Canceling renewal does not itself request a refund.

Restore purchases from the app's Pro screen using the Apple Account that purchased them. Manage or cancel subscriptions in the app's Manage Subscription screen or at Apple subscriptions. Request refunds through Apple's Report a Problem service; Apple determines refund eligibility.

For this iOS release, App Store purchases are verified on-device through StoreKit. Restore them on supported Apple devices using the purchasing Apple Account. Do not assume that a new iOS purchase automatically activates Pro on Android or the website; account purchase transfer to those platforms is not offered by this release.

Account deletion and saved data

Delete your account from Account → Delete Account after identity confirmation. Deletion removes account-owned content and sharing records as described in the privacy policy. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not delete the cloud account. Deleting the app or the My Location account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it separately if you do not want it to renew. Account deletion remains available while a subscription is active.

An exported file or another person's saved copy cannot be recalled by deleting your account or a link. Preserve an export of important content before deleting it if you need a copy.

Location and service limitations

Map coverage, location accuracy, routing, network availability and device permissions affect these features. Recorded metrics are estimates. The service is not an emergency, rescue or guaranteed personal-safety system. Follow road signs and local law; arrange navigation while safely stopped and do not interact with the app when doing so would be unsafe. Guidance does not replace your judgment about current conditions.

The service may change or be interrupted. We may restrict access to address abuse or security issues. Subscription availability, material changes and any applicable refunds remain subject to Apple's rules and mandatory consumer rights. We will update the date of these terms when they change.

Android and web

The existing terms below apply to Android and the website only. The iPhone/iPad app is covered by the service terms above and Apple's Standard EULA, including the App Store subscription terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the My Location website or mobile apps (“My Location” or the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Our App provides location-based services that allow you to:

Save and manage your favorite locations
Record and track your travel paths
Share locations with others
Export location data in various formats (KML, GeoJSON, etc.)
View maps and navigate to saved locations
Access location-based features and tools

3. User Accounts and Registration

Some features of our App may require you to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Promptly update any changes to your information
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use our App to:

Violate any laws or regulations
Infringe on the rights of others
Share false or misleading location information
Track or monitor others without their consent
Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Use the App for any illegal or harmful purposes
Collect or harvest user data without permission

5. Location Services and Privacy

Our App requires access to your device's location services. By using our App, you:

Consent to the collection and use of your location data
Understand that location accuracy depends on your device and settings
Acknowledge that you control when location services are active
Agree to our Privacy Policy regarding data collection and use

6. User-Generated Content

When you save locations, create routes, or share content through our App, you:

Retain ownership of your content
Grant us a license to use, store, and display your content within the App
Ensure your content doesn't violate others' rights
Take responsibility for the accuracy of shared locations

7. Intellectual Property Rights

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

Copy, modify, or distribute the App's code
Use our trademarks without permission
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
Create derivative works based on our App

8. Third-Party Services

Our App may contain links to third-party services or use third-party providers for:

Map data and services
Advertising networks
Analytics services
Cloud storage providers

We are not responsible for the content or practices of these third parties. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

9.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

9.2 Location Accuracy

Location data accuracy depends on various factors including device capabilities, GPS signal, and network conditions. We do not guarantee the accuracy of location information.

9.3 User Responsibility

You are responsible for verifying location information and using the App safely. Do not use the App while driving or in situations where it may cause harm.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss of data or profits
Interruption of business
Damages resulting from the use or inability to use the App
Reliance on location data provided through the App

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

Your violation of these Terms
Your use of the App
Your violation of any rights of another party
Content you submit or share through the App

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

Updating the "Last updated" date
Providing notice within the App
Sending an email notification (if applicable)

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App:

For violation of these Terms
For illegal or harmful activities
At our discretion with notice

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
