About My Location
My Location is a free, privacy-first tool for finding and sharing where you are. It runs entirely in your browser — open it, allow location access, and your exact GPS coordinates and address appear instantly.
What it does
At its core, My Location answers "where am I, exactly?" — in decimal degrees or DMS, with a reverse-geocoded address you can copy in a tap. Beyond that, you can save the places that matter to you, sketch straight-line routes, share a private live-location link, and export everything as GPX, KML, or GeoJSON to use in your other GPS tools.
Privacy first
Your saved places live in your browser, not on our servers. Your position is only ever shared when you explicitly start a live link — and a public "follow" link uses a short time-to-live so it goes offline shortly after you stop. The viewer of a follow link is never tracked, and their own position is never published. You can delete your data at any time.
Built on the open web
My Location is a Progressive Web App: install it to your home screen on Android or iOS and it behaves like a native app, with your saved places kept privately in your browser. It is built with SvelteKit and Leaflet, served from the edge, and uses OpenStreetMap and other open data.
Where it's headed
We're actively expanding live location sharing with friends, self-hosted elevation and geocoding, and richer route tools. Follow along on the blog, explore the full feature list, or just open the map and start.
