About My Location

My Location is a free, privacy-first tool for finding and sharing where you are. It runs entirely in your browser — open it, allow location access, and your exact GPS coordinates and address appear instantly.

What it does

At its core, My Location answers "where am I, exactly?" — in decimal degrees or DMS, with a reverse-geocoded address you can copy in a tap. Beyond that, you can save the places that matter to you, sketch straight-line routes, share a private live-location link, and export everything as GPX, KML, or GeoJSON to use in your other GPS tools.

Privacy first

Your saved places live in your browser. They are stored on our servers only if you sign in to sync them, or when you create a link to share them. Your position is shared only when you start sharing, and a live link goes offline shortly after you stop. Anyone who has a live link can open it. The location of a person watching a link is never collected. You can delete your account and cloud data at any time from the account menu.

Built on the open web

My Location is a Progressive Web App: install it to your home screen on Android or iOS and it behaves like a native app, with your saved places kept privately in your browser. It is built with SvelteKit and MapLibre, served from the edge, and uses OpenStreetMap and other open data.
