Features

Everything My Location can do — from a quick "where am I?" to live sharing and data export. Open the map to try any of it.

Real-time GPS coordinates & address

Get your exact latitude and longitude with a reverse-geocoded street address. Switch between decimal degrees and DMS, and copy any format with one tap.

Search any place or coordinate

Type an address or a pair of coordinates to jump straight there on the map.

Save places privately

Click anywhere to save a point of interest with a name, note, and category. Your places are stored in your browser and never uploaded unless you choose to sync.

Sketch routes

Drop straight-line waypoints to plan a quick walking, cycling, or delivery route — then export it to your favourite GPS app.

Live location sharing

Create a private follow link so the people you trust can watch your live position in real time. Public links use a short time-to-live so they go offline shortly after you stop.

Friends & per-friend sharing

Add friends and toggle, per person, who can see your last-known position — with privacy guardrails baked in.

Import & export GPX / KML / GeoJSON

Bring your existing tracks in and take your places and routes out, in the formats the rest of the GPS world already speaks.

Installable app (PWA)

Install My Location to your home screen on Android or iOS and it launches like a native app, with your saved places kept in your browser.

Real-time GPS coordinates and address

My Location is a fast latitude/longitude finder: allow location access and your current coordinates and reverse-geocoded address appear in seconds, with no account. Read your position in decimal degrees for apps and links, or in degrees-minutes-seconds (DMS) for paper maps and charts, and copy either with one tap. You can also click any point on the map to read its exact coordinates. New to the numbers? Learn how to find your GPS coordinates or the difference between decimal degrees and DMS.

Save places to a private personal map

Build your own map of the spots that matter — a trip itinerary, property viewings, a delivery round, or the cafés you keep meaning to try. Each place can carry a name, a note, and a category, and a searchable list lets you jump to any of them by name. Everything is stored in your browser, not on a server, so your map stays private and works offline once installed. See how to save and organize places.

Sketch routes and plan multi-stop trips

Plan a walking loop, a cycling line, or an errand round by dropping straight-line waypoints on the map — no routing engine, no fuss. It is the quickest way to capture a multi-stop plan in the order you choose, then export it to use elsewhere. This is deliberate straight-line sketching rather than turn-by-turn navigation; here is how to sketch a route without a routing app.

Share your live location with a private link

Create a follow link so friends, family, or a customer can watch your live position in their own browser — no app and no account required for them, and their location is never tracked back. Stop any time and the public dot expires, or rotate the link to invalidate the old one instantly. Walk through sharing your live location from a browser.

Import and export GPX, KML and GeoJSON

Your places and routes are yours to move. Use My Location as a lightweight GPX, KML and GeoJSON converter: import waypoints or a track from one tool and export them in whichever format the next one speaks — back up a personal map, hand a route to a GPS device, or feed GeoJSON into a web map. Unsure which to pick? Compare GPX vs KML vs GeoJSON.

Installable and offline (PWA)

Add My Location to your home screen on Android or iOS and it opens like a native app. The interface and your saved places work even without a connection (live map tiles still need the internet). For full background and offline tracking, the native Android app goes further.
